Doug Fir Veterinary Care is a privately-owned clinic, dedicated to providing the best care possible. We strive to understand every family’s needs and value strong partnerships with pet parents.
Services
DFVC Services include, but are not limited to:
Annual Visits
Regular check-ups are the cornerstone of long-term pet health. Our veterinarians and staff consider each visit an opportunity to partner with you to keep your pet happy and healthy. These visits include a comprehensive physical examination, vaccinations, and screenings for common diseases. By catching potential issues early, we can work together to maintain your pet’s optimal health and address any concerns promptly
Immunizations
Many of the diseases that can affect dogs and cats are preventable through proper pet vaccinations. Let the knowledgeable team at Doug Fir Veterinary Care help you set up an appropriate vaccination schedule for your dog or cat to keep them healthy. Alternatively, we also offer vaccine titers for some (but not all) recommended vaccines.
End of Life Decisions
Pets are members of our families and having to say goodbye can be one of the hardest things a loving family has to do. Should you experience a time when you are making difficult end-of-life decisions for your pet, the Doug Fir Veterinary Care team will be here to help and support you through this process.
Spay/Neuter
Doug Fir Veterinary Care typically recommends spaying or neutering at six months of age to both reduce the risk of health problems and to prevent unwanted pregnancies. There are, of course, exceptions to that rule and our veterinarians will have an open discussion with you to decide on the best time to spay or neuter your particular pet.
Chiropractic Services
Chiropractic care aims to improve overall health and well-being by focusing on the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine, improving mobility, and promoting natural healing.
Nearly every nerve in the body travels through spinal vertebrae to communicate with the brain. If there is disruption in that communication path such as spinal misalignments or muscle tension, the information communicated to the brain from the rest of the body can be compromised. By addressing spinal misalignments and muscle tension, chiropractic adjustments can improve communication between nerves and the brain, enhance flexibility and improve the body’s ability to move freely.
Pet Dentistry
Oral health is a critical component of your pet’s overall well-being. Our skilled veterinary team specializes in pet dentistry, offering professional teeth cleanings, dental examinations, and treatment for dental issues. We understand the importance of a healthy mouth, and our services are dedicated to promoting strong teeth and gums for your pet.
